Nigel Kennedy & John Etheridge

Tuesday 29th & Wednesday 30th April 2025

Nigel Kennedy association with John Etheridge dates back around 35 years when they met through Stéphane Grappelli with whom Etheridge was touring. Stéphane, founder of the Hot Club de France with guitarist Django Reinhardt. Kennedy & Etheridge, separately, both incredibly busy musicians. Their joint collaborations are sporadic & have included major festival appearances & a few recordings. Seeing them together in a small venue with the intimacy of The Crooked Billet is unheard of.

29th & 30th April - what to expect. Two formidable musicians. Possibly double bass & drum accompaniment. Possibly some Hot Club jazz vibe, possibly an electric set, Hendrix? Deep Purple? Possibly some acoustic moments. What happens when you cross an Aston Villa fanatic & Frank Zappa nut? Mind warpingly spectacular violin & guitar guaranteed.
