The reason why we ‘do’ The Crooked Billet is because we love food. We’re foodies. We adore cooking, love ingredients and get excited about food, focusing on local British ingredients & classic flavours. We work hard to source the best ingredients from independent butchers, fish mongers & fruit & veg supplier. The Crooked Billet cooks an eclectic menu with modern British and popular bistro favourites working in harmony.
We use as much local and British seasonal produce when it’s good but don’t restrict or spoil a menu by avoiding using delicious ingredients from far flung destinations. Besides, we’ve been importing produce since before the Roman invasion, and who wants to go through life without chocolate.
We have a traditional brigade of 9 chefs and make absolutely everything on the premises – bread, cheese biscuits, stocks, sauces, sorbet, ice cream and of course our famous Crooked Billet fudge.
