Top of the Pops 1979 Judie Tzuke performed “stay with me till dawn” – I wish I could have! Saw her again, few years later, Pebble Mill at One performing “Wonderfull” & “Fly” Brian May on guitar, Nigel Kennedy Fiddle. I was hooked, bought her albums “Sports Car” & “Phonix” (Incidently, both Gold selling LP’S)

Judie headlined Glastonbury in the 1980’s. Recorded TV specials, performed New York Central Park to 400,000 people.

Undoubtedly one of Britain’s song writing treasures, her songs recorded by numerous groups. PHIXX 2006 hit “Strange Love”, Canadian brothers Ryan Dan 2007 hits “Like the Sun” & High” all Judie Tzuke songs. “Captain of The Heart” Judies collaboration with the American Jazz project  GRAND SLAM was nominated for eight Grammy Awards. She contributed to John Martyns tribute album with a cover of John’s “Hurt in your Heart”. Judy enjoyed another UK top 10 hit in 2011 with “Humankind”.

In 2014 after a successful cancer battle Judy embarked on a new approach to touring “Songs & Stones” choosing to play a small venues often accompanied by one or both of her daughters – helping her find her music again

2018 Judie recorded “Safe” with Beverly Craven & Julia Fordham, which the girls performed on ITVS’s This Morning. “Safe” became a No 1 hit. “Full Moon” a 24 CD box set of Judy’s 23 Studio albums was subsequently released.

(Judie, Beverly & Julia wrote Safe on a Chris Difford song writing retreat. Dean Friedman also on the retreat – thanks to the Crooked Billet regulars Chris and Deano for recommending us to Judie)
